The event is scalable depending on venue and target crowd.

Nature and Climate in Literature

If small scale event at a library or cultural center:

A reading club where the participants read the books that the topic will focus on beforehand. The leader of the reading club prepares subjects and questions to guide the conversation about the relevant topics.

If large scale lecture or talk:

The lecture will focus on the same topics, but there will be little to no audience participation except for questions.

Workshops

Comics in French (B2-C1)

What is it?
A workshop for B2-C1 French learners, both students and adults.

The objective?
To get inspired to use French outside of the everyday setting. Strengthen vocabulary, syntax and spelling through telling stories.

Why comics?
France (and Belgium) has a huge comic culture. It is not only a fun and different way to learn and train self-expression in your target language, but it is also a way to engage with an aspect of the culture.

The Novella Workshop

What is it?
The Novella Workshop is the sister-event to a readathon. Instead of reading as many books as possible, the participants write one or more novellas/short stories.

What is the form?
Every event has a theme. At the end of the event, all the novellas that have been written are assembled into a themed anthology.

If the hosting space is a cultural institution like a library, the anthology could be displayed and be available to read at the institution.
